There is an award-winning chef who uses his talent to feed the hungry in New York City and elsewhere nutritious meals. Although he once cooked for kings and presidents, his heart directed him to change his course and prepare food for the needy. This amazing chef and author of The Waldorf-Astoria Cookbook received a master’s degree from the Culinary Institute of America. In 2015, he established the Heavenly HARVST Foundation, and in 2018, HARVST Foods was founded. Information about the meals John Doherty prepares and gives out follows.

John Doherty’s high-protein meals are made to last for up to 18 months. They are created without preservatives or artificial flavorings. These meals are packaged in pouches that are sterilized after being filled to keep the food safe to consume for the duration of their shelf life. Meal varieties include Asian chicken stir-fry, BBQ chicken with rice, macaroni and cheese, chicken pot pie, rice and beans, shrimp jambalaya with chickpeas and other delicious varieties. Each meal contains a minimum of 20 grams of protein, and these meals are rich in iron, calcium, vitamin A and vitamin C.
